Service Description

Budding Foragers will take a nature hike to see what they can find: *armed with a photo guide to help them find what they are looking for and what to avoid *hiking safety including hydration (budding foragers must bring their own bottled water), proper clothing, being mindful of your environment, how sound affects their hiking experience, directional cues in nature *discover animal tracks, houses, and sounds, and identify who they belong to *proper foraging practices (collecting, leaving things behind to promote continued population growth, proper handling) Activities include: -learning about native plants and their uses -take a nature hike to forage for useful plants  -make a take home nature craft  Learn about: -safe and unsafe plants -nature hiking safety (proper clothing, hydration, using nature to tell directions, best practices) -helpful uses of foraged plants (food and health) -local wildlife (tracks, houses, sounds) -mushroom safety
